Okey Cards is a strategy-based card mini-game focused on creating high-scoring combinations using numbered colored cards. The goal is to maximize points by building straights and matching sets while making smart discard decisions.

Game Objective

The objective of Okey Cards is to create scoring combinations from groups of three cards. Stronger combinations give more points and increase your final reward.

Every turn you can either:

confirm a valid 3-card combination,
or discard one unwanted card to improve future opportunities.

Card Types

The game uses cards numbered from 1 to 8 in three colors:

Blue cards
Red cards
Yellow cards

Example cards:

B6 = Blue 6
R3 = Red 3
Y8 = Yellow 8

Three of a Kind

Three cards with the same number but different colors.

Mixed Straight

Three consecutive numbers using any colors.

Same-Color Straight

Three consecutive numbers in the same color. These combinations give the highest scores.

Basic Strategy Tips

Strong same-color straights usually give the best value. Building combinations like 6-7-8 in one color should often be your priority.

Avoid discarding cards that can still connect to future straights. Even a single useful card may become valuable later.

Keep track of discarded cards. If important connecting cards are already gone, some combinations become impossible.

Advanced Okey Strategy

Experienced players do not only look at current combinations. They also calculate future probability and potential scoring routes.

For example:

B4 B5 Y6 still keeps a possible 4-5-6 straight alive.
R6 becomes valuable if R7 and B8 are still available.
High-value straights often outperform weaker guaranteed combinations.

A bad discard can permanently remove an important future combination. Smart discard management is one of the most important Okey skills.
